Summer League Sign-ups Going on Now!!

The Summer League is starting soon. Have you signed up yet??

This summer, the league will run on Thursdays again, at 6 pm and 10 am, at Lincoln Park in Charlotte. League will run May 6 through Oct 14. There will be 5 total divisions, Advanced, Intermediate, Novice, Novice Masters, and Women. All divisions cost $35, except Women, which costs $20. 3 New Holes Added at Lincoln Park

Thanks to the work of a whole bunch of volunteers, three new holes have been added to the course at Lincoln Park! They are all in the back portion of the course, and currently have natural tee pads marked by an orange-painted timber at the front of each pad. Signs are still forthcoming, and concrete pads should be in place next year. The new holes fit into the flow of the course like this: 1-13, A, 14, 15, B, C, 16-18. Also note, the pin placement has changed for holes 10, 12, and 15. New scorecards and maps will be available at the course shortly.

Enjoy the new variety! Three more holes are being planned for this fall, making an upcoming total of 24 holes.

Discs are $20 each, proceeds to benefit the expansion of Lincoln Park disc golf course with 3 new holes. Discs are available at Skidmore’s Village Cycle Shop, 120 E. Lovett St, Charlotte, at any of CDGA’s posted league play days, or through a CDGA member. Anyone who purchases a disc is eligible for Innova’s CFR Sponsorship Rewards program, and will be able to participate in an exclusive CTP side game at our upcoming tournament, the L.P. Open on May 1, 2010.

Winter League

Our winter league is beginning November 7. $10 to join, just show up at Lincoln Park at 10 am. You are welcome to come any week between now and March 20, but to qualify for league prizes you must attend at least 12 weeks. Any questions, contact Mike Hubbel, qotsarock86@gmail.com

Lincoln Logs preregistration now available!

Online preregistration is now available for the Sept 26 tournament Lincoln Logs through the PDGA website. Mike Randolf comes to visit

On June 28, Team Discraft Pro Player Mike Randolph (http://www.discraft.com/team_randolph.html) stopped by Skidmore’s Village Cycle Shop. He was in the area doing a demo for Discraft (and visiting his mom who lives in Charlotte) He donated some equipment left over from his demo to the CDGA league – a small stack of discs (6 or 8, two of which he autographed), an autographed hat, and the sweetest Team Discraft” bag w/shoulder straps I have ever seen. These will be just a few of the end of the season league prizes! Something cool to shoot for!

If you’ve been thinking about joining us for the league on Thursdays, please come on out! You only need 12 weeks to qualify for any season prizes, so there’s still a few weeks left to get started.
